Pro-ana Tips and Tricks
Instead of getting on a scale let an outfit be your guide to skinny. Break out a tiny little outfit and lose enough weight to fit into it then lose more weight until that outfit becomes baggy on you.
- Eat Breakfast
- Drink coffee (no more then 2 cups with a small amount of honey and low fat milk.
- Eat seafood
- Eat loads of vegetables and fruit to fill yourself up during every meal.
- Wear a lacing corset to slim your waist.
- Devour anything that helps you lose weight, for example, cough drops, hoodia or fiber.
- Never eat pass 6:00pm or 4 hours before you go to sleep.

- Make sure your workout challenges you
- Use ephedra to reduce body fat especially if you’re a gurl
- Change your workout weekly to confuse your muscles
- Learn how to workout via personal trainer, youtube or DVD.
- workout twice a day
- Don’t be too hard on yourself
- Have faith that all your hard work will pay off if you don’t give up too soon.
- Understand that you didn’t gain weight over night so you won’t lose weight over night
- Get a workout buddy
- Chose a thinspiration that has your body type
- Buy diet pills that has great customer feed back like ephedra.

- Since the body burns water all through the night, it’s a good idea to drink a glass before going to bed and one when you rise in the morning. In fact, if you want to wake up quickly, down a glass of ice water while you’re brewing your morning coffee.

Oh my. I have never posted on something like this before but I appreciate creativity.
Things that are good:
Sea salt + water.. The sea salt does not cause your body to retain any of the water so it just flushes you out. Drink it warm, that’s how you’re supposed to drink it. Its gross but think of chicken noodle soup and its okay. Wait about an hour and you will be going #2 a lot, remember, all that water plus some will be coming out.
Drink senna tea, its a laxitive tea, its good to have before bed, like right before bed. Same effect as the salt water.
Also metamucil/fibresure are good to have. Just put it in your water or juice and it helps you go to the washroom.
Eat as much fruit and veggies as your body will let you, they’re mostly water so you’re winning both ways.
Also drink diet coke!!! Its bubbily so it fills you and has no calories. I don’t understand yet, but it does wonders!!

You all need to go to a psychiatrist!! Being “normal” weight is not being fat. Eat healthy & exercise. Being 80lbs and 5’5″ is absolutely disgusting looking!! If you are proana, you will die. You will probably die of cardiac issues. Nice & painful. And as far as after you die- nice job of hurting your friends & family you left behind.

I want to lose some weight but i know i’m not fat, my ribs stick out further than my boobs but that’s because i just have a huge rib cage. You sound beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
And your body probably is perfect but just think, there is NO perfect body. We’re all different.
Why do you want to be thin? Ask yourself that? Do you find it attractive or cool or that it gives you more confidence? Because a) it is not attractive to be so thin your bones jut out, b) it is NOT cool and c) it doesnt give you any more confidence then you have now, in fact, it lowers your self asteem…
And food is supposed to be tasty! That’s a part of human life! So this is what I think…you are so full of self loathing that you look in the mirror and want to hurt yourself. So thats what your trying to do (unconciously) hurt yourself not make yourself not make yourself look better! Did you ever feel that something was your fault in your life? A major even? I may be wrong but personally I would be happy to be you with a body were EVERYONE compliments you…xxx

I have not yet tryed any of these tips. I was wonering if they really do work. I hope so. Im starting tomorrow. I hate being fat. i weigh about 150 and its disgusting, all my friends are skinny and then theres me wearing a size 9. talk about ew. I cant bare to look at my body at all. If you’re doing a fast you don’t need to exercise, going for walks should be enough or light jogs.. Its up to you.
Your body doesn’t know the difference between hunger and thirst.
And for the salt water thing.. You must ONLY do it in the morning on an empty stomach or 8 hours after eating. And don’t eat until you’ve started to go #2!!

what i do is skip breakfast, eat a prepackaged cup of green beans (walmart sells them, 20 cals) and fruit (like a dole cup of peaches with splenda, 25 cals) and string cheese (60 cals) for lunch. then either eat nothing for dinner. i also rotate drinking diet mountain dew for energy, sugar free ice tea and water all day. i’ve lost 65lbs in 3mos. and am still going strong. i’m also bulimic so at night i’ll eat something i’m craving and then purge. the taketh and giveth away works well for me since i get to have what i want and not store calories. also, since the occasional binge is good to boost your metabolism i choose to binge by going to dinner with friends and eating normally. that’s like once a month. works like a charm.

-If you must eat/calorie counter, eat on a small plate.
-Before each meal drink a huge cup of water; fills your stomach.
-Always keep a picture of thinspiration, or of a obese person to remind you of what you will become if you stop being strong.
-Chew sugurless gum, preferably o calories.
-Wear leg weights.
-Have cold showers to over work you motabolism.

Serious, i used to be fat… I found that severe discipline was key to losing weight… For breakfast i had a granola bar… Lunch i had a diet dr pepper and dinner i had steamed broccolli with friend squash.. It was great! I lost soo much weight… Now im a happy 110 pounds and 5’9”… The only thing i wont give up is beer and wine, i dont care how many calories are in it, it makes my world better lol

I bet that you girls`are all so beautiful, inside and out. Try to talk to someone about your problems. EDs are harmful in every way. I used to have one but now im free. Honestly, i have a passion for life now! I encourage all of you to seek help. Trust me, i know what its like to wake up every day hating yourself. There are other options, just seek them out. Some fellow students and I are writing you to address the content of your website. Through our research on various pro-ana websites and blogs, we have seen that some are made in a supportive way to help people deal with their problems. But we are emailing you today because we think that either the content of your site or the attitudes/ideals you express can possibly have harmful effects on the visitors of your sites.
In our Intro to Women’s Studies course that we are all currently enrolled in, we have often discussed body image and its relationship to eating disorders. We’re not emailing you to attack you and any personal things that you are currently going through, but by sharing with you what we’ve learned, we’re hoping to create a better understanding of what a “perfect body” is.
Today, and throughout history, our world has been dominated by a patriarchal society where women are often oppressed. We, as women, have faced restrictions on our education, political rights, sexuality, and many other things. We have been told that if we want to be happy in life, we must find a rich, dependable man. But how will we find a man if we aren’t perfectly beautiful? It’s not possible to be perfect.
In today’s society, young people of all genders are being bombarded with photoshopped images of distorted perfection. Models rarely even look as “perfect” as their images as they do in real life. For an example of this, please take some time and watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYhCn0jf46U. To compare ourselves to the models we see in advertisements is to compare ourselves to the impossible. No one looks, or will ever look, as good as the ads. If we let society’s pressures and restrictions consume us, our whole lives will be wasted.
According to nationaleatingdisorders.org, “As many as 10 million females and 1 million males are battling eating disorders” and “80% of American women are dissatisfied with their appearance”. With statistics like this, we see what a devastating effect even one ad or one comment about someone’s weight can have. We’re just concerned that the words and images on your site will have long-lasting negative effects on someone’s health. To imply that beauty is being underweight and starving is only one idea of what “beauty” is. But if we enforce this view for too much longer, we will all pay the cost.
We realize that eating disorders aren’t purely a choice, and that there are some psychological issues that one must deal with, and we think that pro-ana sites used for support can be very helpful for people who are struggling with these issues alone. But the content on sites that have lists of “reasons to not eat today” or “thinspiration galleries” can have very negative effects.
We must learn to accept our bodies for what they are; they are all different, but they are all beautiful. Diversity is a great thing in our world. Diverse skin tones, diverse orientations, diverse ideas, diverse religious beliefs, and diverse sizes. We fear that if we lose this diversity and give into the monster that is the media, we will lose any sense of who we truly are. From the website mentioned earlier, “42% of 1st through 3rd grade girls want to be thinner” [In 1991]. Young children should not be concerned about their weight. They should be concerned about being carefree and enjoying the simple things in life. But we, as a society, have put too many pressures on being beautiful. Imagine what the percentage is now, 18 years later.
Thank you for reading our letter and I hope that our thoughts have made an impact on you, even if it is a small one. We are just asking for your sites to please change their main message, and to promote love and respect for our bodies, no matter their size.
Also, we would like to end this with a quote that was mentioned in class, which we think should be a life motto for everyone: “Beauty must be defined as what we are, or else the concept itself is our enemy.”

This is appaling. Pro-ana webstites are absolutely awful and should be abolished. Why would one want to encourage anorexia or buliumia? I have suffered from anorexia in the past and believe me, it was utter HELL. Teen girls should certainly not follow this freak advice, as their bodies are still developing and changing, and a little bit of fat is required in teens very early to start up the process of puberty. If you are overweight, don’t slip into anorexia, see your doctor and ask them to give you a weight loss plan. This advice is horrendous and should be bansihed from the face of the earth.

Hi all, i love sites like this because it helps me to move on. To all haters, LEAVE US ALONE!! Yes we know it’s a disease, yes its a dangerous one, but its not as bad a suffering from a lack of self esteem from being too fat. Being fat isn’t worth all the shame and embaressment that stems from it. I’d rather die skinny than fat anyday. Besides it’s a free country and we have the RIGHT to do what we want no matter how bad you think it is. After all how many of you judgemental holier than thou freaks out there smoke, or drink too much, or swear or believe in abortion? Well I don’t agree with any of those things yet I’m not on a site talking against it! So live us alone and let us ana be who we are! I’m 170 lbs currently and everytime I want to eat I cry because it sickens me. I refuse to give in to my greediness anymore and I will be in a bikini by this summer. I love you anamians:)

I undertand the whole malnutration thing but if I have a meal replacement drink will that still make me gain weight? Or will it keep me from collapsing? TIPS; Eat slow. For every bite U take of something (to eat), take a sip of water. Like this; a bite, sip of water, a bite, sip of water.. All of that will make u feel filled up much faster.

Being anorexic can lead to death, you pee blood and puss and vomit all the time. When you are underweight you cant have babies, lose your period, lose hair, get bad breath and it messes up your brain. Listen to me, you are beautiful in every way possible!! I am 5’7 and 150lbs and im 15…they keep saying im @ a healthy weight but i know it just lies. i love the taste of food. but hate when it goes down my throat and slips right into my thighs of meat. im a size 9 and its vicious! my dream would be to get down size 3. Food is like a posinous guy to me,love the taste, hate the consequences.

okay so im 5′ 8″ and i wear a size 9 eww but w/e i have always been really skinny but this damn freshman 15 turned into freshan25 im trying most of ur tricks but im a pescatarian so norm we fill up on carbs sense we dont eat meat but ive been skipping meals not always on purpose somtimes i just fall asleep after work i wanna lose 30 lbs all my friends stayed skinny and im not even shopping til i get back to my old size ive cried to my mom at malls mad at the way i look now i wanna do a cleanser but im always hungry any ideas to get food off my mind if im a bored eater.

No guy wants to be seen with someone who looks like (and is) dying. You have a mental health problem, not a weight problem. Get some help. Looking thin in a coffin in front of your grieving family is NOT the answer.

I would first like to say that everyone on here is beautiful. I am so sorry for whatever has happened to you that made you feel anything else but happy about your appearance. I have struggled an eating disorder and have happily grown passed it. It is important that you stay active and eat healthy fresh foods. If you are constantly thinking of food or exercise its NOT healthy. Focus on having good friends and having fun and making sure to incorporate activity in your life. PLEASE don’t listen to these tips, they are excessive and harmful. PLEASE, PLEASE see someone you trust and love to get some support. If you don’t have that please see a councillor.

I’m on a new diet I invented myself. Monday through Friday I eat 1,000-1,200 calories a day and I fast all weekend. Any tips to hide the fast from my parents and stay on it longer?

fasting for 2 days and eating normally for 5 isn’t a good idea. fasting in itself is a bad idea- it slows your metabolism and shrinks your stomach and causes your body to go into starvation mode, so then the next time you eat, it all gets turned into fat. you’d be much better off eating 1,000-1,200 calories every day- it’s not too much to eat, don’t worry.

Reverse it!! Fast while you have school to hide it, then eat on weekends, works for me. Make it 800-1000 (not as big a jump as you’d think but helps a lot).

reading this takes me back to a very sad and lonely time in my life, when my life revolved around ”thin”, i lost so much weight i couldnt find clothes to fit me and this seemed like a success for me.The truth was i was killing myself and ruining the lives of my family and friends.Thankfully i pulled myself out of this hole and although i struggle everyday with my lust to be thinner than thin i am i hope cured of my e.d.The joy you get from that weightloss is fleeting and i have never met someone with an e.d that is happy.Pages like this are irresponsible and dangerous i know that statement will evoke anger amongst most of ye but also sadness and i urge ye to seek help and talk to someone.The fear that you will end up obese and disgusting is mostly unfounded as i am now just a healthy uk6 whish is still thin just not unhealthy

Please help
I’m 5’3″ and 132 lbs. before i only ate when i got close to fainting and found it hard to move. got down to 113. the doctors told me i was too underweight and that i needed to gain at least 5 lbs to get my period back. Now i have energy and feel healthy but i feel disgustingly fat. i feel like i’m trapped inside a balloon. I want to stop eating but when i do my butt and legs look fat and flabby and i cant drink water because i retain it and it makes me look so fat.
What did i do wrong? why can’t i look lean all over like other girls? should i eat less food and drink less water.
if i eat less how can i stop having blurry vision like i used to when i was skinnier?

I am new to the whole ana diet thing but I need it. A few months ago I was preg. and lost the baby. So I became very depressed and eat everything! I am five foot two and two hundred and fourty pounds….im a whale and I dont want to be like that anymore. Thank you for the tips. Ive lost two pounds already and im ready to shed some more. Any tips or trick to help me lose weight faster is welcomed!
I also have to be careful…my family is very against all of this. I have went as far as concocting homemade laxitives….gross…but effective.

im just begining to get into the pro-ana lifestyle. i have an hour glass shape and everything i eat goes straight to my butt and thighs which is the most disgusting part of my body in my opinion. im realy glad to find all these tips and tricks to get thin.
it does bug me that people keep saying that guys like curvy women, but the way i see it is that yes some men do like curves. they are called chubby chasers and its a fetish. like guys who like to wear womens underwear. theres no such thing as a rail chaser, because its absolutely normal and encoraged for guys to go for the skinny girl.
so many guys go out with their friends and one has to take one for the team and bone the fat chick. it never goes the other way around where one guy takes one for the team and has to bone the sknny chick.
thats the way i see it. i just hope i can stick to my convictions and stay strong in avoiding all the terrible foods i’ve let myself eat in the past.
i read a quote from one girl on a pro-ana forum thats realy helping so far.

Hi guys! I did some advice. I’ve tried throwing up, not eating, and laxatives. i lost about 71lbs so far! I’ve been caught by my family so many times! If they catch me again, I wont be going to college in the fall. And that is not good. So I need some advice: how do u convince ppl that ur not losing weight the wrong way?
